Sourced from 100-year-old trees, this tea consists of a silvery bud with a dark leaf, reminiscent of a crescent moon in the night sky.
Why we love it:
- It is incredibly fragrant and silky sweet, with a depth of flavour that lasts for multiple infusions.
- It has a high proportion of furry white buds, the most prized part of the tea plant with a high concentration of nutrients.
- It is withered in the shade, rather than the sun, for a richer, sweeter flavour.
- It is made from a big leaf cultivar native to Yunnan, with buds so large you see and feel the silvery white fur on them. The fur gives a delicate flavour and soft texture to the tea.
