Rice Scent Aged Puerh | 糯香茶化石
Tasting notes: Earthy, congee, pandan
Origin: Menghai, Yunnan, China
Oxidation: ⦿⦿⦿⦿⦿
A proven bestseller since day one, this fermented tea offers an approachable take on traditional puerh. Ripe puerh is often misunderstood for its heavy, earthy profile, but here, those notes are softened by a warm, sweet aroma. There is actually no rice in this tea; the scent is achieved by steaming native 'sweet rice leaf' (糯米葉) from Xishuangbanna together with aged tea fossils (老茶頭) sourced from 100-year-old tea trees.
The resulting brew has a special syrupy texture and a comforting character that feels instantly familiar. Beyond its aroma and smooth mouthfeel, this tea excels as a functional digestif—it pairs exceptionally well with heavy foods and naturally soothes the stomach after a meal.
About Our Tea Bags
When a full brewing set-up isn’t within reach, we've got you covered! Our collection of tea bags is designed for everyday use without compromising on the flavour we love.
Inside each biodegradable bag, you’ll find teas that adhere to the same quality standards as our signature loose-leaf collection. We intentionally made our tea bags slightly oversized, allowing the leaves plenty of room to unfurl and bloom, and, in turn, release their full, authentic character.
Designed for life in motion, our collection of tea bags offers an elevated yet approachable tea experience for every setting, every day, anywhere.
