Harvested in early spring from 200-year-old trees, this sundried black tea has a distinctly fruity aroma and tangy aftertaste.
Why we love it:
- Because it is sundried, it has a much brighter, fruitier flavour profile than the average black tea.
- It is made from the first spring harvest of 200-year-old assamica trees in Xiaohusai Village, Lincang.
- Sun-drying the tea (instead of oven-baking it) allows it to age and change flavour over time.
"Gushu" means "ancient tree" and refers to tea trees that are more than 200 years old.
