Brisk, complex and smooth, this fragrant Honey Orchid Dancong tea is fully oxidised for a fruity flavour – like a drinkable dessert.
Why we love it:
- It's a Dancong - a dramatically aromatic type of tea from Phoenix Mountain (鳳凰山) in Chaozhou. These teas are often described as "drinkable perfume".
- The tea grows in a biodiverse mountainous environment with mineral-rich soils, which translates to extra layers and complexity in the flavour of the tea.
- It's an experimental tea: the producers took a cultivar that is traditionally made into an oolong, and made it into a black tea instead. It shows the variety of flavour that's possible in the black tea category.
What is black tea?

300ml Teapot
8g | 90°C | 3 mins | 2 infusions

These are just guidelines. We recommend experimenting with a range of temperatures and leaf-to-water ratios to understand the tea and your own taste preferences.
