Tea Gathering with Gallery tete: Rimpei Watanabe

2024年10月，Gallery tete 舉辦了以陶藝家渡邊林平的作品為主題的茶會。通過器皿共享茶的時光，那一刻對 tete 及 Plantation 來說也是深刻而難忘的經歷。

一年多之後，今年3月，Gallery tete 將舉辦渡邊先生的第二次個展。

本展將以茶器為中心，帶來了上次在香港及茶會中的經驗而創作的作品。將展示如茶壺、蓋碗等新形態，以及為中國茶準備的茶杯和公道杯等，這些器皿將使茶的時光更加充實。土的質感展現了“土物”的溫暖，並且隨著使用而逐漸展現的特徵，也與我們日常接觸的茶的世界深刻共鳴。

在展期的第一個週日，Plantation 的茶師將使用渡邊先生的器皿舉辦茶會。我們希望能帶來器與茶交織而成的靜謐而豐富的時光。為了讓參加者在家中延續茶會的體驗，Plantation 凖備了茶葉作禮及參加者當日在 Gallery tete 消費可折抵 HK$100。

這是器皿、茶和人相遇的場域，希望大家前來體驗。

In October 2024, Gallery tete hosted an intimate tea gathering centered on the ceramic works of Rimpei Watanabe. It was a shared, profound moment cherished by both tete and Plantation, expressed through vessels and tea.

More than a year later, this March, Gallery tete presents Rimpei Watanabe’s second solo exhibition.

At its heart are tea vessels, shaped by insights from Hong Kong and that memorable gathering. New forms emerge: reimagined teapots and gaiwan, alongside cups and pitchers crafted specifically for Chinese tea rituals. These pieces invite a deeper, more complete appreciation of tea’s gentle unfolding. The inherent warmth of the earth, captured in each “Tsuchi Mono" (Earthware), deepens through time and use, resonating in quiet harmony with the everyday poetry of tea.

On the exhibition’s opening Sunday, Plantation’s tea master will prepare and serve a serene tea gathering using Watanabe’s vessels.

Each guest will receive a curated tea from Plantation, and your admission ticket can be redeemed as HK$100 toward any purchase at Gallery tete.

This is a moment when vessel, tea, and human presence encounter one another.
