Eight Immortals is one of the 8 most famous varietals of Dancong oolong tea.

Dancong tea comes from the Phoenix Mountain range in Chaozhou, China. The Eight Immortals varietal grows on Wudong Mountain, one of the highest in the Phoenix Mountain range that is almost perpetually enshrouded in mist. Wudong is home to the purest Dancong tea groves and cleanest processing of the entire region.

Dancong oolong teas go through some of the most complex processing methods of all teas. In fact, teas harvested in spring are often not ready until autumn!

This Eight Immortals tea is harvested from 50-year-old trees, giving it that "old tree" essence. It is highly oxidised and charcoal roasted three times. It has a full texture and a long-lasting aftertaste. With a naturally floral aroma, it has a slightly savoury flavour fringed with a bitterness that quickly turns into a sweet aftertaste. It is also good for ageing.
