Old Grove Tieguanyin | 正欉鐵觀音 Tasting notes: Ripe fruit, nutty, burnt sugar

Heavy roasted
Made from the original Tieguanyin cultivar, this traditionally roasted oolong has a lingering aroma of caramelised fruit.
Why we love it:
- As a roasted oolong tea, it is robust and sweet, and smells amazing when brewed.
- It is handcrafted using traditional roasting methods and laboriously rolled into a tight ball shape. This gives the tea a dark amber brew with a molasses flavour.
- It pairs well with afternoon tea favourites like cakes and scones.
It is called "Old Grove" because it is made from the oldest known Tieguanyin cultivar 紅心歪尾桃 that originated in Quanzhou, Fujian, and was brought over to Taiwan in the 1800s.
