Tasting notes: Herbaceous, honey, dark chocolate
 Origin: Fuding, Fujian, China
 Cultivar: 福鼎大白 Fuding Dabai

 Elevation: 620m
 Oxidation: ⦿⦿○○○

Gong Mei White Tea is a great everyday tea with a robust flavour, reminiscent of honey and dark chocolate. You can use boiling water to brew it and it rarely gets bitter.

Why we love it:

  • It has a robust flavour. "White tea" in general is thought to have light, delicate flavours but this is the third picking grade and comprises mostly larger leaves which yield a more robust flavour.
  • It's great for ageing. You can keep it in your cupboard for years and it will still taste good!
  • It is minimally processed. As with all white teas, the leaves are simply withered and dried, so the quality of the plant itself really shines through.
