Forest Wild White Broom Tea|荒野掃把白茶

Tasting notes: Wet forest, nutty, sweet
 Origin: Fuding, Fujian, China
 Cultivar: Wild

 Elevation: 900-140m
 Oxidation: ⦿○○○○

An exciting find for us, Forest Wild White Broom Tea is made from wild tea trees in the forests of Fuding, Fujian. Each easy-to-brew bunch has a wide range of leaves, from tiny white buds to large mature leaves. This gives it a deep, herbaceous, woodsy flavour with a tinge of honey-like sweetness. We like to think of these mini brooms as a wild version of a teabag—really fun to brew!

This tea is grown in a pristine forest environment, free of pesticides and human intervention. The leaves are processed with great care to conserve as much of their natural character as possible, and are gently spread out on bamboo mats to wither and slowly dry in the shade for several days.

They are then collected in small bunches and tied together at the stem, like a broom, which makes them very easy to brew. All you need is a mug or tea pitcher and some hot water! A great one for brewing at the office, too, because it won't go bitter if you leave it in too long.

Servings: Each bag has 2 brooms, and you can steep each broom at least 5 times.

Grandpa style
1 broom | per mug or tea pitcher | 90-95°C | 1.5 mins
+ 1 min per steep for at least 5 steeps

What we love about this tea is how easy it is to brew! Just dunk the whole broom into a mug of hot water, give it a swirl and enjoy.

This tea can withstand higher temperatures and doesn’t get too bitter with prolonged steeps.

These are just guidelines. As we always say, it’s best to experiment with a range of temperatures and leaf-to-water ratios to understand the tea and your own taste preferences.
