What is white tea? What makes black tea black? How is Puerh tea made? Join us for this beginner's workshop to have your questions answered!

This workshop is for anyone who wants to understand how tea is made, processed and categorised, while enjoying a fun tasting session.

Together, we'll taste one famous tea from each of the 5 major categories of Chinese tea:

  1. White
  2. Green
  3. Oolong
  4. Black
  5. Fermented Tea

And learn more about what goes on behind the scenes of tea production.

After this workshop, you'll see tea in a new year, understand your own preferences better, and know exactly what to order next time you want good tea!


  • Time: Saturday 11 March 11am-12:30pm (English) | 2:30-4:00pm (Cantonese)
  • Duration: 1.5 hours
  • Maximum participants: 6 (Please indicate quantity above.)
  • Venue: Plantation Tea Studio, Rm 602B, 6/F Wan Chai Commercial Centre, 194 Johnston Road, Wan Chai

Important things to note

  • This workshop is non-refundable, so please consider your availability carefully before booking. No-shows will not be refunded.
  • If you are more than 15 minutes late, your booking will be forfeited.
  • If you cannot come because of an emergency, please call us at 3619 7476. We can't guarantee rescheduling for all circumstances.
  • Tastings will be cancelled if there are 2 or fewer bookings, or there is a Black Rainstorm or T8.

Hong Kong delivery

Delivery is free for orders of HK$500 or more. Heavy items do not qualify for free shipping. Please allow 5-7 working days for your delivery. See our shipping policy.

International delivery

Delivery is free for orders of HK$2500 or more. All other orders have a flat delivery fee of HK$450. Heavy items do not qualify for free shipping. We aim to send orders within 5 business days of payment, and they are usually delivered within 14-60 days, depending on the destination. See our shipping policy.
