Crafted and perfected by generations of traditional artisans, the wire netting teaware from Kanaami-Tsuji encapsulates the soul of Kyoto craftsmanship with a tradition that goes back over one thousand years. Kenichi Tsuji and his son Toru Tsuji weave some of Japan’s most beautiful kitchen and tea utensils in their original kiku-dashi (“chrysanthemum pattern”) and kikko-ami (“tortoise shell netting”) patterns, which has earned Kenichi an award from Kyoto City for his contribution to the promotion of traditional craft.
Created as a dummy's version of the gaiwan, this effortlessly graceful set contains a
cup made by porcelain artist Asahi-Yaki and complete with a shallow tea infuser, perfect for brewing Chinese tea.
